Brake mount question
«
on:

I have a Deco Succubus v2 frame w/ brake mounts. I bought some Ody EvoII brakes for it. When I went to install the brake, the spring lock bolt shown here:

...bottoms out inside the brake boss before it gets tight enough to apply spring tension. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, what do you do to fix it? Grind down the spring lock bolt? Add spacers (washers) under the brake arms?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i have had the same problem. in may case i just ground down the bolts a bit and called it good, but you could also run a tap through the boss and frame maybe just a blockage.

Hi pskat. You can also look for a pair of fly brake bolts as they are shorter & will still work fine. I had to do this once myself.
