absolute rookie | first Bike allround or flatland_???
« on: September 27, 2007, 10:46:26 AM »
Hello,

I can ride a bike:: I just toured 700km trough France on my female Hollandrad.
Cause of stupid french transportation rules I had to leave my bike there…

So now I want to fullfill an 10 Year old dream and get myself an bmx.

and flatlanding is way coolest

but I defenitly want to do a few jumps,
maybe even I´ll dare to get on the local dirt trail.

Does one have to start on a street bike?
or may I buy as a first thing a flatland vehicle?
I cant even wheelie …yet.

I´m offered a wtp Pony will that survive a few jumps?

I´m 26yr | 177cm_5.8foot | 66 kg_146 uspounds

thanx a lot.

why not build a frame for street/flat. start with the frame like a haro m7 or a  wethepeople div og or better yet a inertia unit or a sick child metropolitan or a function...those frames are tough enough for street use yet light enough for flat...since your a tall enough guy get a longer top tube like 19 inches and stem for street and switch to 2 pc bars and 14 mm axles for strengthand a tough freecoaster like the reverse...after that just build ur bike to what u want...36 or 46 wheelset,2 brakes,1 brake,or nobrake at all...i myself have liked flatland opposed to street and dirt and saving up to buy an m7. enjoy and ride!!!
