That is one interesting Bike! I'm really surprised the Frame & Fork have the Tyre Clearance for the 2.2" Tyres!

Cool bike and yeah I'm with Topsey! interesting tires but I like the slick look. Ever tried flipping the stem?

You've planted the seed of Hawk Tyres in my Brain!! I like wider Tyres & going on Dans Comps measuring system thingy the 2.2" Regular Bead versions only inflate to 2.16".. Not sure how that would feel for Flatland. The Biggest Tyre i have ever ran on my Flatland Bike was 1.95"!!

Tire molds cost $7000+, so I highly doubt Odyssey would bother with something like that for such a limited market.

1.85" tires felt like garbage for the week I had them. I guess it's a matter of what you're used to, but I have big feet and both scuffing and skid-stopping were intolerable. The Hawks feel great in contrast, and have made what was an intolerably twitchy bike instead become responsive and fast.

I spent a few weeks messing around with the stem height to dial it in perfectly before cutting the steer tube, so no, I haven't tried flipping the stem. I've seen it flipped on other people's set-ups and think it looks gross--like a flipped Redneck on some park rat's beat complete.

interesting how the C-bomb is ok tho...

re: the bike.

those tyres look monstrous, I guess the black rims helps with that look too. Nice work on the bike!

I always find statements like this curious. Im 181cm and my tt is 18.8 with 0 offset forks, and i can hop fairly high no problem. Surely things like this are more down to technique rather than an inch or so of offsetting. Not having a go or anything, like i say, just curious.

Yeah, it's weird. I think it's more a case of what you're used to, and although I loved the handling of zero rake in every other regard, bunnyhops are too integral a part of riding BMX for me to be able to put up with any kind of extended learning curve. I have no real explanation of what was going on, even after educating myself about the steering effects of rake and trail. It just felt like the front end dropped too soon--and the R25s fixed that, so now I'm happy.

After nearly a year on my 18.8/0offset equilibrium I couldn't hop it higher than peg height just didn't feel like there was enough room, now with a park frame 20.75 and min offset forks I can hop bar height. I know my bikes too big for certain flat tricks but I like to ride everything
''let me tell ya something i did a front n rear wheel hang on the cloping on the slide of the spine, now i stick to street!''

''do you freestyle?''

However serious you take it general public sees us as just dicking about on 'kids' bikes, some people could do to remember that and smile a little.

yeh man, fair enough really, that makes sense. Each to their own and all that :)

I guess for me i just dont know any different really, when i was younger I had a street frame and that but it was so long ago that since riding again i've kept on the one frame/fork.
