Magicfruits 2014 Closed Pegs
« on: September 11, 2013, 06:35:31 PM »

Here is a very interesting 2 piece peg from Magicfruits of Japan, which has a completely closed end for pivoting, as demonstrated by Mo-rich.

Specs in the parts section: Magicfruits - Closed Pegs

That's really smart, I like that.

I just hope it doesn't come loose, get stuck or make the weight go way up.

Too bad Magic Fruits are close enough to nonexistent over here in the US, they make some pretty cool stuff.

The japanese bmx shop Circle Geek made that video and carries Magic Fruits products as seen on the website,
maybe you can get these very very interesting pegs from there, but maybe you would change your mind once you know the price ;
actually I am wondering if I need 2 "votomz" and 2 "bowls" to make a pair of these pegs, if that's the case, the pair would cost around 138 euros/183 usd (without shipping I guess too)

Votomz / 4.800 yen (5.040 yen) :1P
Flat Bowl / 4.300 yen (4.515 yen) :1P
Low Bowl / 4.300 yen ()4.515 yen) :1P
High Bowl / 4.300 yen ()4.515 yen) :1P

maybe it could be better to go to a machine shop to get a custom one pair or two made (not for sale, only for personnal use!!), the specs can be inspired by one of the pics listed in the parts section out~riding pointed out

Didn't Frost (pre sequence) made 2pc thread-on pegs waaay back in the 90s? And he reversed threaded the pegs so they wouldn't come loose when you did grinds on them.

I wonder if they would be gentler on tennis court surfaces more-so than open ones are.
