S&M Intrikat Lower Top Tube Option?
« on: June 19, 2014, 05:30:36 AM »
I hinted to chad about doing a lower top tube version of the 2014 S&M Intrikat. Please reply if you would be interested in purchasing this option. A 7" stand over would be ideal in my opinion. Thoughts?

I think after the recent improvements of the dropout size and integrated new tensioners they wont be upgrading anything more for a while. Custom is the way i guess.

Not many flat riders may like this.

i would prefer a standover at 7"-7.3" 100 times more as it is impossible to do some tricks with high stand over.
At least 2 of pedal switches i do on the backweel.

Some riders prefer bikes, where the frame doesn't look like a women's beach cruiser.

i'm on a custom intrikat 7.35" Stand Over, it looks low compared to the stock frame but I would have liked a much lower SO ( say 6" which is the look and height I like to ride the best).however going real low SO in my experience on other frames means a frame that feels like it flexes and just doesn't feel as strong.also having a high post on a real low SO meant a bent seat post.

I think comments should be posted on S&M Intrikat thread.

I had Intrikat V2 and the stand over was good, just the adjustment rear dropout issue that has been fixed.

Surely there's enough paperclip frames on the market to choose from already, so S&m needn't go down that route too, anyhow, 8.15 soh is still pretty low!
