Removing the driver from a federal V2 F/c
« on: June 14, 2013, 02:32:32 AM »
Ok i got a 9t driver to replace the stock 11T for my LHD Federal V2 freecoaster....im having a really hard time removing the driver!

took off the lock nut, took off the washer

held the axle and twisted the driver (as if i was backpedaling) and it just keeps turning.

EVERY freecoaster i ever had, this was the way to remove the driver.

So im asking...is there a special way to remove it? i am stumped here and would really like to run the 9t i just paid 40 bucks for!

Thanks in advance!

Yeah just a twist & a firm pull & it should pop out?

i did a search online and found someone having the same issue and they said sometimes it gets stuck because its  such as tight fit. he used a headset cup puller to help with the pulling...so im trying to figure out a way to do somet5hing similar...but yea every freecoaster driver i ever removed just twisted out easy peezy
