4pc Zero Backsweep Handlebars?
« on: March 18, 2013, 02:03:56 AM »
Does anyone know where I can find a 4 piece set of bars with zero backsweep? I have a set of dyno bars from about 2000 that I have been riding since, call me superstitous or picky- but nobody makes them anymore?

I had some 4-pc bars custom made for me by Standard Bykes a year or two ago. I'd be willing to sell them.

rise: 7.5"
width: 24.5"
backsweep: 0 degrees
upsweep: 1.5 degrees
color: matte black

These are my remorse bars... 26.5 wide, 8.5 high, 3 up 3 back... Nice work!

They are cool...I powdercoated them myself and it came out real heavy on one side ( I have no idea what I'm doing)! But the knurling is excellent and welds look great.

I always liked the minimal sweep of Swiss Miss Bars, but I didn't like their height, the width, or the angle!  So that made me select the 3 up 3 back...Animal Bob Bars are also a favorite of mine, but I went a little wider to 26.5", and the 8.5 height I just sort of guessed!!

What about

http://flatlandfuel.com/fenixhandlebar.aspx

?

In terms of custom bars I recommend London Bikes. But they do not make bent tubes, so it depends on your taste. I have seen pictures of London bars where they put several short pieces of tubes together to "create a bent look". The forum member "nibbler" can help you with London Bikes parts.

I think the main challenge is to find one with zero back sweep. But in the article they mention that Standard also offers custom geometry...
