KHE vs. Nankai slack
« on: October 16, 2012, 07:01:01 AM »
Is it possible to make a Geisha Lite have as little slack as a Nankai is capable of?  I've got my Nankai set up really tight, about like a cheap freewheel if that makes sense.  Not like a good cassette, but a cheap freewheel.

This is my first KHE but I'm pretty familiar with the internals, just never owned one myself.  I'm using all three slack washers and the little hat washer is facing the right way (flat side to the clutch), but it still has way more slack than my Nankais.

Can I add more than 3 washers or do anything to make it tighter?

If you flip the large washer it should give you a less slack.

I've got it facing the way it's shown in the pic, but it's still very slack.

That's should be minimal gap, If I use it like that  I will flip out on most rollbacks.. I wouldn't want a smaller gap.. you can add another washer if you want --

I rode a freewheel for so long I'm pretty touchy about not pedaling so far.  I feel like I've got less control if I can't just barely move my feet and get a reaction.  Staying still I can handle.

I'll try to add something there but $5 plus shipping for 3 KHE washers is a bad joke.
