Im looking for a suitable Bike.....
« on: October 09, 2012, 01:16:05 AM »
Im looking for a suitable bike that doesn't drain my bank account. I'm new to Flatland and I've been doing my homework to see which bike i should get. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated and I'm 6'4 180 lbs. Thanks

The problem is, alot of completes (which are more affordable) arent catered for someone of your height. You would need at least a 19.5" top tube if not longer. Have a look in the for sale section here & see if you can track down a longer frame. Alot of parts are for sale also, you should be able to build yourself a custom for a decent price.

a light-weight street bike set up with flat parts would be an obvious choice.

look into a full cromoly street bike and just swap the seat (and probably post, as it will be way too short). I bought a 20.5" Kink Barrier to ride some street/park on and i can pull most if not all of my flatland tricks on it. but im 5'9"! so a street frame with the right parts should be perfect for you.

I've heard the Fit Benny L complete would be a good place to start....

Pop some pegs on, then your good to go!?
