I personally am not a fan of trying to combine female axles to free coasters. Its an un needed features that IMHO offers more disadvantages compared to normal axles in this design respect.I also think a floating hub in this sense doesnt support the coaster as well as a solid axle, and leads to small amounts of play or flex that has a negative effect.I would much rather use a 14mm solid axle.Especially if they made a TI version.
well, pat from flatland fuel just got back to me - says no alloy replacement axles (in regards to the front hub) are avalible for khe's greyhound hubs yet on his side.bummer.@rideflat -don't let the nankai rattle, it means the bearings are kaput - you risk pitting your drive cones, race of the driver and brake stop, those are fairly expensive to replace compared to the $5 for bearings.
i guess nankais are just too expensive now, especially because of the high exchange rate for yen. can someone please clarify - do the st. martin darwin come with khe or taska ufree internals:http://flatlandfuel.com/stmartindarwinfreecoasterhub.aspxhttp://www.sidewallactionsports.com/p-5856-st-martin-darwin-freecoaster-hub-black.aspxsorry for derailing the thread...
