Maine Riders??
« on: September 06, 2012, 09:22:25 PM »
Hey!! After taking some time off to have a baby, I'm ready to keep teaching myself Flatland!! If there were any riders in the area, that would be awesome. I'm still learning basic tricks, so be patient with me!!

It's not that cold up here. The riding season is a bit short, but not too bad. And, no, we don't ride on snow and ice. At least, i don't.  :)

REALLY
I heard different and are you guys in
Southern Maine?

Most of Maine is above Toronto and
I found when I was there the two times,
it was cold and snowy in March and April!

I am just use to the sub-tropical weather
here and we have three seasons...warm,hot
and semi-warm or really winter, summer and
Indian summer or the wet season and the dry
season!

AVERAGE HIGHS/LOWS HERE IN S.F. EAST BAY

JAN          59/40
FEB          57/42
MARCH     64/42        WET SEASON!!!!!!!!!
APRIL       68/44
MAY         73/49  ..........END OF WET SEASON..END OF MAY!!
JUNE        80/55
JULY         88/65
AUGUST   91/67         DRY SEASON!!!!!!!
SEPT.       86/57
NOV.        64/44   .........START OF WET SEASON NOVEMBER 15TH!
DEC.        57/42

AVERAGE ANNUAL AVERAGE HERE IS ............. 70F/48F

WET SEASON GOES FROM NOVEMBER 15TH-END OF MAY..WE GET
21.50 INCHES OF RAIN DURING WET SEASON!

I suppose it can snow in 3 seasons here- fall thru spring. Last year, it snowed in October. I remember it snowed on Easter a few years ago too. I'd choose snow over rain any day tho. The other riders are in southern Maine, I'm about 2 hours northeast of them.

southern maine's climate isn't that much different than boston's, really. northern maine gets more snow and is generally colder in the winter, but i don't believe it's anywhere near as harsh as alaska. or even minnesota for that matter.

spear, if you're ever interested in meeting up, pm either me or stuntnuts.

BOSTON IS HELLUVE COLD THOUGH..FREEZING

I GUESS YOU GUYS ARE USE TO IT AND YOU CAN SEE
OUR AVERAGE ALL YEAR IS 70F AS A HIGH AND 48F AS
A LOW AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE BELOW
FREEZING AND LIKE TODAY IT WAS 84F TODAY AND IT
IS SEPTEMBER WHICH IS NORMAL FOR US AND IT WILL
GET DOWN TO 55F TONIGHT!

COLDEST IT WILL EVER GET FOR A LOW IS 39-42F DURING
THE WINTER OR RAINY SEASON..way above freezing and that
