SANTA ROSA CA:THE NEW FLATLAND MECCA??
« on: August 20, 2012, 01:51:46 AM »
This has been happening slowly but surely,as riders been moving there and
now has 7 flatland riders there and Shane K and Darrin moved from Georgia
and then Dirty Steve and then Dave B.. Ed B. just moved nearby there in
Petaluma..just a 20 minute drive or less.Mike and Alfred been there all along
and they keep coming and yet another New York rider is coming out for the
Las Vegas Inner bike and will be staying in Nor-Cal to check out our scene
and will probably end up staying in Santa Rosa for awhile and we all know
what happens when that goes down of late.

My dream is to buy a house in Sonoma County and then have a barn I can turn
into a riding spot for indoor riding when it is rainy outside and yeah we do not
get snow or much cold weather here and average temps year long is 68F for
the day and 42F for night.

So you know,my condition is still bad at times and I am on constant medicine
and have to take 10 pills a day to keep it depressed to where I can function
daily, but I am feeling better with this medicine I am taking and I want to start
to ride a little bit again and see how it goes....

Santa Rosa
Today 83F/52F
tomorrow 84F/52
Tuesday  82F/52F
Wednesday 83F/51F
Thursday 81F/51F
Friday  83F/52F

Is Santa Rosa the new Austin,Texas for flatland in a year or so??

Yes!  Bringing the energy to NorCal up here in Santa Rosa!  6 riders, 2 flatland bmx houses, come out and enjoy unlimited fun on 20" wheels (or we'll take you mtn or road ridin, or kayaking) !  You can stay at me, Steve, & Dave's house as long as you want.  Beer on tap, full shop, many ride spots, perfect weather.   Telling you, we didn't move out here for nothing!

7 riders ...Shayne..

As Ed Benoil in Petaluma which is like some 20 minutes away  in Southern
Sonoma County and yeah guys will be hosting I heard another NY rider soon,
beside Dave B who moved there now and the weather is good all year long
there pretty much and never gets below freezing much either and you guys
have good spots to ride at too and 7 riders right now and probably some very
soon!

Also to point out that the Clocktower is 40 minutes South of there and
this is where Pete Brandt,Sean Parker and and many others ride at and
one of the better spots to meet up to ride at on Sundays!

One of the 3 places I planned on moving too so I could ride all year long...just couldn't afford the extra $650 price tag on a penske truck+ fuel. So I settled with Southwest Florida. Mutt,I hope you get back too 100% full health very soon.

there are cheaper places in Santa Rosa and not too bad and save up for the truck and gas,as
Florida is too hot and crowded and Santa Rosa in the country and the whole county has maybe
110,000 if that in it...

you know how poor many flatlanders are and they moving to Santa Rosa because of the weather
and amount of riders there plus it is Wine Country...lots of micro breweries and such!

By the way they found a 21 foot Burmese Python in the Southern Florida suburbs just recently
which was 1 foot in girth(width)...and there are bigger snakes out there in Southern Florida they
say and it is just a matter of time until some human becomes a meal for a big snake!

Just saying with the Humidity, heat, big reptiles, tornadoes, tropical storms and everything..
well your find out and it is a sand pit down there also so every riding spot is dirty and
Southern Florida is way crowded..not like Sonoma County!

moving outside of Naples Florida................ there is a covered (underground ) parking garage to ride in right off the beach during the night, or after business hours .....its about 10 degrees cooler than outside temps anytime...best spot i have ever rode at+ honestly the only spot i have ever seen in that area where you can practically go down a level (which is very weird for that part of the country , and being that close to the beach )

Yeah been there and nice and just be careful of the humidity and heat, hurricanes
and there are still Retics and Burmese pythons in the Naples area which is still
considered the Northwest area of the Everglades.

How many riders actually still ride in Naples,as i have not heard much of them
of late??

I would never live in an area where there are 20-32 foot snakes slithering
around and there are like 4 big Pythons species slithering around in Southern
Florida!!

Big ass Pythons/Boas now slithering in Southern Florida..100,00 of them!!

1. Reticulated Python..can reach 25-33 feet long..longest snake in the world and
skinny and known to eat people!
2. Green Anaconda..can reach 24-32 feet long..heaviest big snake at 250-340 lbs,
only big snake in the boa family
3. African Rock Python...can reach 18-26 feet long...can swallow and envelope the most
of all the big snakes.seen eating water buffalo and antelope family meals with big horns.
this snake also has the worst temper of all the big snakes..known to swallow people in
AFRICA.
4. Burmese Pythons/Indian Pythons..can reach 16-25 feet..smallest of the pythons and
big snakes loose in Southern Florida, but most common with tens of thousands loose in
Southern Florida. They breed like rabbits and spreading North up Florida and into the
Florida Keys unchecked with no real predators to stop them!

I am not kidding about this and check this all out and google FLORIDA'S BIG SNAKE
INVASION and your see I am not at all taking this out of text. This is all real and when
I was in Fort Lauderdale,I went to this State Park to check it out and check out the
mangrove swamp there and the Park Ranger told me a 18 foot Python was caught in
that park just an half year ago. It was supposedly a big Burmese Python. This park was
just 6 blocks from my hotel on the beach,so yeah I was so glad to get the hell out of
Southern Florida the next day and get on the cruise ship for our cruise!

SCARY!!

SO YOU KNOW I AM TELLING THE TRUTH AND YEAH IT IS A ZOO DOWN
IN SOUTHERN FLORIDA AND IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL SOME
ONE BECOMES A MEAL FOR A BIG SNAKE AND PETS ARE ALREADY ALL
DISAPPEARING AND DEER,RACCOONS AND A LOT MORE BECAUSE OF
THESE BIG SNAKES...

ANACONDAS AND RETICS ARE KNOWN TO EAT PEOPLE AND THE AFRICAN
ROCK PYTHONS ALSO..THERE IS AN ARTICLE ABOUT A BOY EATEN BY A
BIG ROCK PYTHON,WHILE HIS FRIENDS SAT IN A TREE WATCHING HIM
GET EATEN...I THINK HE WAS 10 OR 11 YEARS OLD!

Here is an articles to check out and so you get the idea not to move
to Southern Florida..to BECOME SNAKE MEALS!!

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2009/0915/p02s01-usgn.html

30 inches in width around..whoa and that is 2 feet and half feet in
width or girth...a lot bigger than us humans and almost 4 times
the length of a human adult female..5"2. 18.3 feet long.
