2013 St Martin Frames: Foot Jam and Ten with double top tube?
« on: August 10, 2012, 11:45:18 AM »

We just stumbled across drawings of the new 2013 St Martin frames on Renz Viaje's blog. They show the Foot Jam frame and a new frame called Ten. You can find all the specs and details in the parts section: Foot Jam 2013 and Ten 2013. But first of all take a closer look at the drawing of the Ten frame. Does it have double top tube?

Manu Massabova left us a comment on the Ten frame on our Facebook page: "It's a mix between the Haro Master and the GT performer. Old school design with new school geometry and it's only for new school tricks. The first name of the twin top tube frame was the Decade but KHE used this name already for 2013. We design it for the 10th anniversary of St Martin. I hope you like it."

When things get better I want the foot jam frame.  And the twin top tube is a cool deal.
All things in life are temporary. If going well...enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong don’t worry, they can't last long either.

yes but the bent tube below kind of ruins the frame, particularly where the bent is. I'd love if the frame has a straight tube with a small gusset.

also, 12.2" in the rear???!! that does not sound very appealing to me.

i agree, i would have loved it more if everything had been straighter like on the old ozone

but still looks very good, and we need to see the final result to have a better undrestanding of the frame

Looking forward to seeing real pics of the ED black Footjam, looks like it has a longer head tube now too which is a plus.

Short rears are pretty standard for st martins to be fair.

you're saying it's a plus to have a standard headtube, are you thinking about resistance ? frame strength ?

Probably to eliminate the spacer stacking

(This is with a uncut odyssey flatware fork w/ 0.5degree riser)

Not only that but having the top tube and down tube meet further apart at the headtube increases stiffness along the length of the frame.

Hey,
I contacted St Martin about the head tube length a couple of weeks back and Manu said that all the geometry is exactly the same as the 2012 footjam frame.
Apparently the only differences are the removable brake mounts and the new red colour.
Will have proper pictures in 2 or 3 weeks
