KHE Tire splitting down the middle...?
« on: July 29, 2012, 04:42:55 AM »
So, a week before York jam I put a KHE tire on my rear wheel. Right after the jam my health insurance was dropped abruptly and I've been without any stomach medication so I haven't been able to ride. I recently got some and was able to go out for a session and noticed my rear tire is like, splitting down the middle in places. I don't keep it above maybe 110, and it's usually lower than that around 95-100. Is this an issue anyone else has come accross? I've never run one of these before.

Yeah! That's exactly what's happening to mine although it's not progressed to that state yet.

It's starting to really get bad now. I bit the bullet and ordered another Suelo foldable. I only run it on the back so it lasts a really long while, but it's just ridiculous how bad the quality is on the KHE tires. Laughable really.

Hi,
I use this for several years now and exactly this happened with about every 10th tire (for some reason not with the early one from years ago but mostly in the last two years).
I all cases I wrote to KHE and had it replaced without any discussion.
I guess that they have a error rate in the production which is a little high. But if you have a flawless one you have a very good tire in my opinion.
I would strongly recommend to ask for replacement.

Not had that happen to me, it's down to a bad batch I suppose, I think if you contact KHE or pref flatland fuel? if you brought from Pat I'm sure they'd be more than happy to replace it free.
Whilst KHE sucks, their warranty ain't so bad, I guess they knew their products would fail :]]

I've had other problems with khe tyres though, had a few new ones blow up at 100 psi, tbh I'm scared sh*tless to put another mac 1 on my wheels lol.

KHE are such a hit and miss company.

They've made one or two fantastic products.

And then a whole bunch of really poor ones.
