well there are a few things to mention. the first thing i would like to say is that i watched the how-to and i would strongly recommend not using the seat and learn to roll the trick somewhat well w both hands on bars before mastering the ride in and ride out perfectly. i find that many beginners use the seat as a crutch way too much. its kind of like ppl using the front brake on hang fives and whiplashes when they dont need to. all bad habits are harder to break later if you get too used to them. when you learn fork glides going in a circle is a good route to go but another thing that helps a lot of ppl is finding a mellow hill to roll. a trick that would help you learn them is peg wheelies. i know they arent really related but its a great beginner trick to help build balance and you just set it down and you dont need a ride out. any trick that you are trying to learn where you have one foot on peg and one foot off you usually wanna try to hang your free foot slightly lower that the peg that its next to. good luck with the fork glide. once you get a few it will open lots of doors but it takes work. what side do you ride in on? and do you keep that front on the peg it starts on or do you switch and scuff with that same foot??

When you spin it the most important thing for me was at about 1/2-3/4 of the spin lightly hit the brake to stop the bike from sliding out from under you and you face planting ^This is what I do. But I also wonder if it is a crutch. I'm pretty sure it can be done brakeless, and I have done it, but inconsistent, and things can go wrong quickly. I try and use as little brake as possible, and letting the brake go before the full 180 keeps momentum going.Maybe I should work more on doing this brakeless, but I have it pretty solid if I grab the brake.I really don't get the seat grab thing at all. Seems really awkward to me. I want to lift the back end and roll just on the front wheel from a fork glide, but I cannot see how to grab the seat to keep it from swinging. But that is another topic.

i feel as though i should post a few vids of fork glide ride outs. im gonna try to work on that when i have time because i think it would help some riders. i know once some of you guys start riding out of fork glides some other tricks will come along very quickly. one thing that helped me while learning to ride out switching my hands and feet is that i would ride slowly and lean my bike all the way down until my pegs touched and then stepped off the bike. it really helped me gain confidence to teach my body how to lean to get the timing right to switch my hands and turn around.
