cranks
« on: April 19, 2012, 11:17:41 AM »
i fitted 3 peice cranks about a mth ago, new, everything ok... but now theres a loud grinding/creeking noise when i pedal sitting down, pedal stood up it does not do it.

the chainring is an old bizhouse and shows signs of wear, but it was flat when i put it on, now on the bike after a mth and is running bent - if i bought a new chainring, would it not bend also after time if theres a problem with the cranks ?

anybody with any idea as to whats happening, i'd love 2 no b4 i buy a nu chainring.

cheeers.

I'd prolly just take everything apart and grease every piece of metal that touches another piece of metal. Don't be afraid to get dirty. Most cranks complain when you don't use lube...
