Topsey:
Odysseys use a H.24 cap & im using a biz stem on them atm no problems so far. I just want a shorter steerer tube as the stack height of the biz stem is tiiiiiny!

Flatland-Cris:
yeah you see im only 5ft4 so since bars are so big now im tryingt to stack the stem as lowww as possible! so if i get some fork theyll have to be cut :/

Malo:

--- Quote ---Awesome i was looking at them!n 25h is best for biz stems as i lernt :| haha cheers guys!

--- End quote ---

If the top bolt is H25, the thickness of the steer tube is thinner compared to a H24 top bolt (25 is bigger than 24). If you are looking for a stronger steer tube that won't be crushed by a 3 pcs stem, I would suggest a steer tube with H24 top bolt and not H25. The difference is approx. 0.5 mm for the thickness, so it's not negligible for a steel tube... but of course it's sligthly heavier...
I hope I haven't misunderstood this topic... ???

Flatland-Cris:
sounds good, altho thats what i thought stopped my inertia forks steertube from being crushed was the fact there wasent a gap between the steere tube walls and the topcap thread

Topsey:
Malo, Cris & myself are going on the logic that the compression bolt is closer to the steerer tube there for adding more stength to the steerer tube itself. The stem would have a hard time crushing the compression bolt.
