Anyone ever broken a pivotal post?
« on: March 23, 2012, 01:19:06 AM »
Has anyone broken a pivotal post where the pivotal section has come away from the post?
If so, do se anyone have the broken pivotal section (not the post) they would be willing to sell me?

Basically, on some of the old pivotal posts.... The pivotal section cracked away from the post as they were badly glued together. What I hope to do is get ahold of this top part. If you have that broken piece, I will gladly cover costs etc if you are willing to part with it.

But it needs to be that broken piece and not just a short or over cut old post.

Cheers

Byke, what are you up to? Making a 7/8" pivotal post?

I was hoping to see if I could make a 31.6mm piv! From something other than alloy.

I'm with you, I'm not sure why you'd run a tall alloy post but that's all you can get these days.

I'm running an old cr-mo non-pivotal post because I bend them otherwise.
