^^^ I read heat treated tubes too. Doesn't say anything about tri-moly. And I think Chad would be out of his mind if he sold an "after market" frame with mild steel tubing.

I really don't think it is 4130.
As generally (or at least in the past) it's not a grade that is used in the far east.

Ah on the other hand, everyone seems to love the frame, and even people who are very experienced and have critical eye and bike building experience themselves (Brett D. ) all report that it's tough as hell and very well made, so maybe I'm reading too much into this.
