st martin front hollohub meausurements for spoke length?
« on: March 17, 2012, 08:22:45 AM »
so i got a good deal on some front hubs for my wheels (im running curbrider flow pedals, no cranks), and i thought the box would have listed the measurements for the hub for lacing, i get them, and they are not there. does anyone have them? i will be lacing them 3x to some copper hazard lites.  O0

these are where i got em from:

Just look up how to measure a hub. Also look up a spoke calculator. I'd do it for ya but I'm lazy today... Oh, and you may need a caliper. Good luck, I'm going fishing, metaphorically speaking...

Just a heads up, that hub is meant to be radial laced. When you cross lace, once you start tensioning the wheel the hub body will twist.

If you are for real, you probably spend enough time on your bike that there's no time left for talking sh*t on message boards.

Of course, if all you do is talk sh*t on message boards, you're probably not as good or as cool as you think you are.

i used 186's! called distro, they said nothing about radial lacing.. laced up just like a normal wheel!

looks okay ;D

for future reference, just got an email back..

" flange outer diameter : 49 mm.
 - flance diameter, center of spoke holes (= PCD) : 40 mm.
 - distance between flanges (inner measurment) : 64 mm.
 - distance between flanges (outer measurment) : 70 mm.

What I can tell you is the spoke length of that hub, with our Domino/Evo rim, with 1-cross partern is 176 mm."

heres what i got back form them after asking about if i can lace it 3x (although it was already laced and tru'd)

"Hello Brandon,

Our hubs can be laced in any pattern. Moreover, the radial pattern is the most stressful pattern for hub flanges. Our hubs resist to radial, so they'll be fine for 3-cross.

Thanks.
