Any tips for when you can't find flat land.
« on: February 27, 2012, 02:06:45 AM »
I only have one properly flat, non bumpy place to ride and it's closed at night.
I have tried the promenade but it slops towards the sea. The big roof I used to ride on is starting to annoy me as its made up of slabs which are not as level as I would like.
Are there any tips for riding on cobbled ground or am I just making things hard for myself?
And what about sloped areas? What's the best way to tackle them?

Sometimes i just find a tarmac path like the one that goes through the park and just practice in straight lines... Like hang 5, steamroller, hitchicker etc...

I ride in front of my house and it is no where near flat. It is on a little slope and is hard to learn tricks in a circle. But when i do ride on real "flatland" it is heaven! lol

So jammy rideflat43. Nowhere round here is lit at night.
I guess riding in a straight line is an option. If only the roads weren't so bleeding bumby!

my childhood home town is basically on a hill. so i learned steamrollers, hitchhikers n etc while rolling down the hill. by the time i moved to a new home where there's a lot of flat spaces. i have no problems balancing.

I have a couple spots near my house (everything is near in my town). But no lighting so i bring those big flash lights and spread them around my spot so i have enouph light. It works out quite well!
