People in the way when you ride.

People in my way!


There's plenty of room to walk but does it have to be towards me? I just needed half a turn to do the rest of my combo but I was afraid I would whip my frame right into them so instead I did the whip half a turn earlier and pushed myself right into the bricks.

So much effort wasted.

THERE A LOT OF THE TIME...PEOPLE JUST WALK INTO YOUR WAY AND THEN
CUSS YOU OUT FOR ALMOST HITTING THEM!

problem is i am riding on a college campus. people wont hesitate to kick me out or rat me out next time i show up to ride. so i have to play nicely if i want to keep riding there

99% of people aren't aware that anyone else is alive on the planet besides them.  If that woman hadn't randomly stopped to look at that guy, she would have walked right into you.  Idiot.

However serious you take it general public sees us as just dicking about on 'kids' bikes, some people could do to remember that and smile a little.

I did commit one day not stopping for someone and I got hit by another cyclist, i think his handlebar hit my head as i was doing a inside halfpacker

I think half of it it that Flat looks easy to normal people, I mean assholes. We should be able to get out of their way... I'm not saying we should, but if we can turn our bikes upside-down and spin around, we should be ninjas and know what's going on around us every second, right? Wrong, but most people seem to think so. I almost hit a 300lb-er walking up, right through my side of the court yesterday, right at the end of my link. I could see him in the corner of my eye and had been working on that link for an hour, he stopped 2 feet from my roll-out. Good thing I didn't hit him, I think he would have eaten me like a chicken wing... Totally messes with my vibe though and throws me off for like 5 or 10 min. and sometimes even my whole sesh. I thought about bringing 2 liter bottles of coke and just drinking a little, then acting like it was bad, then pouring it out right under their goal. See how they like a sticky ball.lol
I like to take the high road, but somedays...

yeah i gotta agree to people thinking if we can do that then we can get out of their way. but they dont understand the amount of focus we need. we cant look around we need to look at one spot to remain balanced. and the amount of cardio it takes its a lot harder than people think it is

This gets me so mad too !! I think people just don't really care. I've very often been there riding in circle at the EXACT same place for over an hour, so people see your routine, but still they get in the way. One of the worst thing was having some rollerblade dude put their stupid slalom plastic cup RIGHT where i was practicing !!! i'm a non violent guy so i just went somwhere else because the place was huge and there was plnty of space.
so many assholes in this world....

i get the same sh*t at one of my spots except with cars. not only is it a huge parking lot, but i ride in the far corner under a spotlight so people will see me, and yet they go out of their way just to see how close they can get to me without hitting me.

get some pylons from the dollar store and put a hat close to where your riding. People will stay out of your way and might
even donate a buck or two LOL
