Persevere Review by Effraim
« on: July 10, 2007, 10:39:48 PM »
Effraim Catlow sent us a review of Persevere:
Pete Brandt’s solo project “perseverance” is out now after two years in the making, let it be said I’m a Pete b fan so I loved this, Pete has style for miles, effortless style and flow throughout this dvd, almost at times his links look too easy that you don’t appreciate the difficulty. To me that shows his drive to get his tricks as smooth as possible, one of his traits that I’ve long admired since the days of the classic “reality tv part1”. The dvd has of course new footage, contest footage, old footage, interviews, hidden sections, I loved that this video had a hectic nature to it, multi layered, it has a personal touch to it, so many details (I’ll leave you to search through his dvd to find the gems), bonus interviews with Pete b and editor Mat Gardener. Pete Brandt is also a very talented drum n bass dj/producer, the soundtrack created by the man himself fits his fast up beat riding style perfectly, any hardcore flatland rider will love this. Big thumbs up from me. The solo video project for flatlanders seems to be here to stay, who’s next on for the long haul project… - Effraim Catlow

The soundtrack is f*cking KILLER. It also has stuff that he's apparently done for older intrikat flicks that you most likely can't find anywhere else.

Anyone seen Cream #24 yet?  You might have seen 3 full pagers of the SF clocktower rider like this one...

Sky Flip.  (Crackhanger jump to 180 bike varial to hitch hiker)
Yes he pulls it (without the bars scraping) in "Persevere".
Seeing is believing....

The Pete Brandt Interview in Cream #24 is actually 6 pages total and the shot I posted is just one of the crazy full pagers.  Hopefully flatlandfuel will have them soon....

My computer goes manic on most sites so I can't comment.
Loads of vids I want to buy at the moment too; i'm probably going to wait and bulk buy some goodies from Pat.
