Very good battle.... Erik rips, but his spot seems to be holding him back and limiting him a bit (I had the same issue riding in mostly small spaces over the years, making me a rolling trick retard... lol); what he accomplishes in that small space is amazing, but we don't get to see much outside of his front and back wheel spinning variations. Jm should probably take this one on variety, a little cleaner technique, and a bit of a difficulty edge (juggler lines, some good back wheel turbine/hop action); if Erik starts riding a bigger spot on a regular basis and opens up his style to a few more concepts though, look out!  -_-   Good stuff guys.

Doesn't Michael Sommer ride in that second spot in Erik's video?? great riding from both. Matt Wilhelm's riding style is the way it is because he said he was confined to riding in home garage's most of his earlier riding development.

JM.

Reason being, his lines just had more variety and difficulty for the most part. I think Erik had a few good tricks, but it was basically a spinning steamroller most of the video...

not easy but my vote goes to jm.

would erik does more turbine/rolling stuuff i would give it to him but this steamroller variations are not totaly different tricks.

I really liked jm's video in regards to his editing style. well made video!

But this does not count into my decision, what does count instead is riding of course!
erik's tricks are all just too similiar to each other to let him pass, so i will give my vote to JM

Erik, find a bigger spot! you will progress much more! Next round I want to see some rolling stuff from you :)

My vote goes to JM but this was a very close battle. I can definitely see both of them in expert class next round.

Really great job by Erik, such a smooth dialed style. I think if I had any less tricks in my video, he would have won, so, much respect Erik. I'm going to ride my ass off for the next round and I hope to step it up a notch to keep from being slaughtered

hmm. Andrew had two links, but Rodrigo repeated alot of individual tricks(hang nothing, cliff, hang-5 g-turn)...I'm not sure but it seems like this maybe a Volume of tricks vs. difficulty of tricks.

Andrew threw down a Half Packer juggler( with a bar flip), although Rodrigo did a Half Packer from a Hang-5( I do believe he rode it out)...hmmm

I know everyone's trying to get tricks in but I think the judges would like it more if they didn't have to speculate whether or not a rider rode out a trick...
