Hi guys,

I am thinking of tattoo for a while, and when I get some money over summer holidays, I'd like to go for one. I know lot of flatlanders do have one, and I was wandering - what should I make?

I've got something like this (http://www.google.cz/search?um=1&hl=cs&safe=off&biw=1680&bih=953&gbv=2&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=chainring&aq=f&aqi=g1&aql=&oq=) in my mind. No idea where. Either on belly (like right side, not in the middle), or maybe hand, calf, who knows.

Any suggestions? Also, does it hurt a lot? Not that it would stop me, I am just wondering. How long could it take? And would you suggest me other tattoo than a chainring?

I don't know why, it just feels flat-ish :)

Thanks!

I think the global-flat logo would make a great tattoo... not necessarily the whole thing but just the guy doing the plastic man.

Problem is that there are not many contest in Czech Republic. I'd love to get to visit one, but last one viable was Church Fight. But I am sure that Dominic would give me some tips, haha.

A lot of riders do sprocket style tattoos (myself included) but you have to realize that you get the tattoo that YOU want , and not what someone else wants you to get.

Some people do ask if they hurt, and I tell them "well girls get them"

Good luck man.

I recommend you think about it looong and hard. I see too many sh*tty tattoos everywhere. Possibly show your idea to some professionals and work out the final design with them.

Not just him, actually, a lot of guys in our country (yep, I'm Czech as well) rock flatland tattoos. Also, there were at least three great contests after the Church Fight so it's just your problem that you didn't come to them.

I'm not blaming anybody but myself. On the other hand, in "events" tab on global-flat.com was just Church Fight, which was considered canceled, according to info page.

You mind suggesting me some other websites where to find out about flatland events in Czech Republic? I guess Dominic's forum would do, right?

Anyway, I looked onto some pictures and you guys are right - many people actually use sprockets as a tattoo. Doesn't really matter though, I'd try to make some unique design.

It's not like I'm rushing to get one, I'll probably leave it to Fall when I've got some money. GF logo doesn't really appeal to me. Who knows, I'll have to think it through :)

PS: I suck at drawing.

this is my bmx tatoo not strictly flatland:

If I ever see a flat rider do a hop-to-wallride, my head would explode.

Lovely! I don't really dig any kind of text or font or whatever, I'd prefer some picture.

Thanks for sharing though!
