Justin Miller Interview by Terry Adams
« on: April 20, 2011, 08:16:24 PM »
Terry managed to do what was long long overdue - an interview with Justin Miller.

"I traveled all over the globe with him from 2004 through 2008. We became the best of friends and have shared some of the best moments in life together. As most of you know Justin left the scene completely about 3 years ago. I still speak with him just about everyday. The only difference is we never talk about riding anymore. We speak about everything but riding bikes. It’s hard for me to not ask him about flatland because I often wonder if he will ever ride again. Sometimes I will ask him, you know that you are the most talented contest rider that ever lived right? He always replies with “shut-up, no I am not”. Justin and I have completely different personalities and that’s what’s so great about life. You meet people that are so different from yourself and then that person ends up being one of the closet friends you will ever have. You better believe it was a fight to get him to do this interview. Sorry for bugging you man. I had to. It is just the way I am. Enjoy!!"

he's a crazy guy.
If I ever see a flat rider do a hop-to-wallride, my head would explode.

Great interview.  There was no one better than Justin when he was at the height of his powers IMHO...

Man, I'd hate to do construction with him as my boss!  ;D
Great interview, would be so rad for him to come back even for a year, and just travel around kicking contest ass like some kind of flatland superhero.

I always wondered why Martti and Justin hate each other.. Anyone knows that?

there are articles out there about it, or were.  from what i remember, at some ring of balance, or circle of whatever contest (the one where it was kind of a tiny ring in the middle of some theatre)...it kinda looked like martti was snaking justin a little.  martti was "playing a game" and trying to get into justin's head...or something like that.  at one point justin got mad and flipped martti off.

then there was some back and forth chatter in articles furthering the drama.  iirc martti talked about it in a ride (or maybe cream?) interview saying he was bummed how it all went down.  i'm sure they are cool now.

justin took riding waaaay to serious - granted he was a great contest rider but that ultimately causes anyone to get burnt out. Its one thing to be dedicated but its another thing to physically get sick when you don't perform well on the bike, thats just plain insane, wheres the fun in that
