For those of us lusting after the latest range of flatland products from the Original Gypsy Bike Company, Andras from OG has kindly sent in their latest product flyer, and we can now order everything directly from the OG shop – Check out some of these specs:

OG Gypo2 Frame: 100% Japanese SANKO aircraft spec cro-moly tubing (lighter than used on the Gypo), fully heat treated, large vent holes for more weight saving and dreamy colour schemes including  ochre yellow, baby blue, neon green, purple and classic white –  a mere 2.25kg

OG Caramel Bar: delicious name, delicious design! Designed by OG Marton Szilagyi, using Japanese SANKO heat treated fluted tubes incorporating 2.5 upsweep and backsweep, and available in 2 rises: 187mm/ 7.36 inch (870g) and 165mm/ 6.5 inch (830g) – width of both bars 622mm/ 24.49 inch – available in classic white or black

OG Vajda Fork: another OG Marton design, featuring laser cut heat treated SANKO tubes with 6mm thick dropouts in either 10mm or 14mm, available with or without U-brake mounts and incorporating a Wethepeople top bolt that accepts dual brake cables, just 930g without brake mounts. Check out those ergonomic flattened fork legs for no more munched pinky toes!

OG Griptapegs: same high quality Jessup griptape as the previous version, same aircraft grade aluminium with rounded steel endcaps, but slightly longer and lighter than before (300g per pair) for even greater comfort and control.

As far as I know, and I got surprised by this flyer, the frames will be released at the same time, so it's strange it does not appear in the publicity... I wonder, are they still unsure about the frame stiffness? I doubt, they've tested it for so long now...

So, did they do away with the frame with only one tube for the top and down tube?

No, no, no... :D

There is nothing wrong with the DADAN frame stiffness. The reason why we come out with that is that we have asked for a second prototype with spanish BB and integrated headtube, and with a smoother main tube - toptube connection. After the testing period the DADAN frame is under production now and will be available early 2006.

I've made my maind, I so want one of those...

Any news about the colors that will be available? I just love that pink tone KGB's using on their Psychonnecta... Is there any chance of getting custom color painting? That would rock...

Keep up the fantastic worl you guys have been doin...

I also have some doubts concerning my headset, will ai have to change it too? I have a regular headset...

Hi Hugo,

Thanks for the nice words, we are happy that you like the frame. I guess we will have pink frames in the production line. See the prototype of Peter Sarlos below. It is a bit darker pink than the KGBs, but is hard to make justice with the photos.. reddish colors always seem a bit different on your screen than in real life..

I would say we cannot offer custom paintjobs from Taiwan on our frames yet because there are quantity limits at the painting factories but for an upcharge you can let us know about your ideas of your requested frame color and paintjob design. It might take some weeks to get it done but a friend of ours can make it for you.

If you want an OG Dadan or Gypo2 frame, you need to use internal headset. Regular ones do not fit, sorry.

If anyone of you are interested, I can send you our price list via email. Just feel free to write to shop@original-gypsy.com.

Cheers,
Andras

Nice, that pink tone is looking very good, alot different from the one you guys have on the website, more like magenta or so. I'd take that tone right away lol I only asked about the color because i wanted a pink that would be a bit lighter, i wasnt thinking about patterns or anything.

Im definetly gonna think seriously about getting a DaDan...and the cranks... and the front hub...and the internal headset...damn...

You know, Kunstform is a German online shop. It is their decision to sell the bars for that price. We sell it directly from Hungary for a lower price.
Every shop can decide what is the best for them.
