« on: February 04, 2011, 12:06:21 AM »
Mystery solved - Alex is riding for St Martin from now on! Check out his
first combo on the Evo frame Small | Large

"I´m gonna redesign all the new frame, fork , bar and many more to present a brand new concept around me and ST MARTIN .. I am really excited about it cause i´m gonna be able to put all my experience as a rider into a complete signed bike , it´s been since the PARIS KHE FRAME that i was waiting for that, so i´m pretty proud about it."

I think this is great. I think it gives Alex a chance to shine again and not have to keep living in Matthias' shadow. He's a great guy, he'll go down in flatland history and I think he deserves this.

Yes Alex is the one who raised Matthias up to right now but since years he's just hide under Matthias and has no spot in the rank. Now for St Martin I think he'll have a better future

They both have a lot of experience in frame design so I'm looking forward to the result.

A new era for St-Martin : Alex Jumelin joins us !! We have known Alex
since the middle of the 80's. He was a young teenager when Manu and
myself were old teenagers. After many years being just friends, time
has come to work together. 8 months will be necessary to create and
produce a complete range of "AJ" products. Please be patient. In the
meantime, the first event where Alex will be St-Martin-mounted is the
Circle Cow contest this coming week-end : Ferbruary 5th/6th. A warm
welcome to you, Alex.

Nice moves! (In all senses...) Good to see ALex just being able to ride again, without extra pressures!
More off than on, but still loving it! Flatland until you can't!

Can someone tell me why Alex joining the company famous for sub 12" rear ends is somehow better than being with ABT? I put them both in the same rank of quality and reliability.

Actually I put ABT above them in weld quality and how they treat their pros but that's just me.

I never saw Alex in Matthia's shadow! For his age he's rideing a higher level...
... or maybe they are just little kids bikes and we should grow up!        Paul Osika

They say the products will be "AJ" - maybe he wants to be like "MJ" - A person synonymous with a brand - Being a brand himself. Nobody says they're wearing Nike's if they're wearing Jordan's right?

Either way, say what you want about him - living off Matthias or in Matthias' shadow, having questionable fashion sense or just being a cunt as I have said about him personally. . . Whatever, he has two kids and a sports car that he needs to feed and flatland is his job.

Good luck to him. I hope it works out. Manu hooks riders up who don't hit comps and don't directly make him a sh*t load of money. He seems like a good guy to me. He hooks some of my friends up too. If anything, I hope this works out well for Manu. St Martin are innovative.

here is the answer: everybody wants trendy crappy quality overpriced products, don´t you?

Maybe it would be better for him in terms of financial sucess but i guess nobody here knows if that is the case..
