Being hurt f*cking sucks! Probably all of you know the situation. You don´t pay attention for a second and unwillingly kiss that lovely surface of your riding spot. Most of the time you get away with a bruise but since Alexis´ crash we know that it can go pretty wrong! So ride hard but never underestimate a possible injury and check out what Lea has to say this week!

 it's a pity, but all the riders have any history of injuries

 exactly 17 years ago I had an accident with my bike....I had my head and my shoulder broken, my face movements were paralysed and had to do many exercises.. i stayed in a hospital for 23 days and nowadays i ride carefully but never gave up...good bless you

If your not hurting yourself then your obviously not pushing yourself hard enough.... I accept that injury in flatland is all part of the process, all you can do is wear decent protection! I always wear shin pads and sometimes gloves if i keep bailing! Just as your bmx will break and fall apart, so will you! Stay safe and ride hard! Hope you get better soon Lea.... ;)

Lea, do some rotator cuff exercises. You might have to wait until after things are healed, but this could help to greatly stabilize your shoulder. As a matter of fact, do these with both shoulders all the time as certain exercises like riding flat can cause some muscles to become unbalanced with the rotator cuff. If the rotator cuff is substantially weaker, it has a hard time compensating and working with the load put on the rest of the muscles in your arms which can put too much strain on the rotator cuff itself -- in certain cases, this could cause injury. Also, females tend to be more prone to subluxation.  After doing these exercises for a while, you will probably feel and be a lot stronger in the shoulders and will be able to put a lot more load on them. You could be very well able to ride full force again.

well we give eachother flack on here but nobody wants to see anybody hurt.
get well soon.  My advice is, stay off everything until you dont feel ANY pain
once your shoulders goes you aint gettin it back.

Get well soon... didn't know about Alexis' crash as well, so hopefully everyone heals quickly and properly. I've been lucky enough to not have had anything more severe then ankle sprains, a jacked tailbone, and tendonitis happen to me over the years, but I'm suspecting my luck will change at some point while I'm brakeless for the next few months.  :P
