Casette or freecoaster?
« on: December 13, 2010, 07:10:54 PM »
Hi, I have a question, I'll be very limited if I use a cassette hub rather than a freecoaster? Because I do not use much the rear wheel. Thanks.

I'm from Argentina. sorry for the translation.

I think it is limiting. Even if you don't use the back wheel, you still have to ride out of stuff. If your back wheel rolls backwards even the tinniest bit, boom! Your pedals are no longer where you thought they were.

There were times bitd that I had to ride a rim with a regular freewheel. Loved how the engage was nice and perfect. Hated how I couldn't set my pedals for many tricks.

Might be different if you have never ridden a freecoaster since you don't know what your missing, but even at that, I think your limiting yourself.

freecoaster is essential imo, having the pedals move backwards is a right pain in da ass and couldn't ever imagen riding without one.
Mechanic is easy, all you need is a hammer and a blowtorch....BURN MOTHERf*ck BURRN
