Flatmatters: how do you deal with the winter?
« on: November 23, 2010, 11:41:38 PM »
There is a -cool- article on Flatmattersonline in which Effraim asks other riders how they are dealing with the winter. In the first article of the series you can read the answers of Matt Wilhelm, Jean William and Bert Ribul.

Of course it´s not winter right now for all of us but probably for most of you. So we would like to hear your answers, too! Do you have a good winter spot? Private? Indoor? Public? Make a post in the forum or drop us a photo and the location of your spot: info@global-flat.com. We´ll show the best spots in the news.

I need a shovel and road salt to make the snow disappear from the court and maintain the spot

Hibernation . Just goto sleep for 4-5 months. Eat a lot of food like a baby cow or a pony. and goto sleep. and wake up after 4-5 months. easy enough.

yeah bud. you should give it a go.
Make sure you eat like a pig before you do - or eat a few cows or donkeys - whatever. If they dont have snow in your country then just try to get space in a meat freezer and goto sleep in a big block of ice.  and then set the alarm on your phone to 4 months from now and goto sleep. you will wake up happy and refreshed.

if there is no snow on my spots, i ride. doesnt matter if its 35° or -15°
if there is snow, i go into my garage and practise things like whoppers, 360°, decades,...
this winter i can go to a gym sometimes (dont know if thats the correct word, its just a normal hall for sport)
