i think practice is all you need there. cant really see anything wrong with the technique.

if you hold your back leg out more itll stop you going in too tight, which is when youre falling off.

Yeah, what Chris said. It looks like you're switching hands right as you get the bike at it's most tight/vertical. Switch hands earlier or don't bring your leg in quite yet.

you have lung spins down to perfection, time machines come naturally afterwards?

I can pull off the occasional time machine, but haven't come close on a lung spin. Weird, huh?  I think it doesn't matter which comes first, just which you happen to do first.

I've found that once you switch hands, it helps to pull your balance leg knee towards the stem, that seems to be the sweet spot for me anyway.

TRUE

before i can do time machine, i had no idea that lung spin was or even existed (i only found out its was called lun spin after last week i made new winter edit and on raddad trick of the month thingy).

so yea, i was trying to get into spining time machine, then i accidentally let go of the peg and i was spining for like 2 seconds!!! and i was excited i thought screw time machine im just gonna do this instead,

so i havent praciticed time machine for a while (1 whole year) , meanwhile my lung spin was like getting really dialed, so oneday about a year ago last month i tried a time machine and i felt the spining point and learnt it within half an hour.

that was my process, other people's might be different.

i could like make a tutorial on it if people want
