There is this dude here in holland, Stephan Paseri and he made almost every part of his bike by himself.

Barends, seatclamps, stems, sprockets, freecoasters not shure about that one...) etc etc

there is this vid on www.eengoedidee.nl called WAGENINGEN_low (or something like that and there you can see him ride with all the home made stuff.
