St Martin Parts 2011
« on: September 10, 2010, 11:52:29 PM »
The new 2011 St-Martin website is online www.stmartinbmx.com. New graphic design, new products, including the return of the Downtown frame. All the new parts are listed in our parts section:

Last but not least the first St-Martin complete bike will be available in December. Called Darwin, that bike will be mid-hi range complete bike, with reliable components.

I like them much too...
they are a bit heavier than the Eiffel and Diamond frame though,
maybe its because of the reinforced tubes that they used..

do you think that the new downtown frame can withstand a bunch of decades and whoppers?

I am really happy to see new stuff coming out .....
But based on the pictures I am a little cautious on the downtube on the 2011 downtown.

It would appear that its been bent using 4 separate dies to create the curve. And if you look closely you can see where the dies havent met up perfectly and caused a shunt between each piece of the curve. Hopefully this is just a prototype and production model will have a smooth continuous curve.

Your right byke, that downtube looks far from smooth and the missing chainstay bridge...

I like the CD sprocket but its a copy of what macniel already did..
