ouch!  well if its a rib that is broken or bruised, there is nothing you can do but put up with the pain or rest for a few months.

Dont worry i had worse crash on my chest, same as you, with time machine, so lucky i didnt get f*king bars in my head. i also have an 'tattoo' just above my belt becouse of handlebar on my old bmx, have it for about 3 months now, it will stay there for life(this wasnt becouse of time machine though).

this trick is driving me crazy..it totaly destroyed my left leg.. so i wear plastic skin guards i got from my brother, he used them for football, after my leg kot so fked up, i never even tkinked about not geting these on my legs..

so, good bar ends are just an must to not get killed.

Man Hope you're okay.  Back when I was a kid there was this trick called a 'Miami Hopper'.  One of my friends, who was also named Shane, was practicing this trick and he fell into the handlebars... literally.  Back then in the late 80's we didn't have bar-ends, or I don't remember us using any.  So the bar would wear through the end of the grips and get pretty sharp.  When he fell the handlebar went into his stomach    Hurt him pretty bad.  Ambulance took him away and he had surgery.

ugh. hole punching my stomach is one of my biggest fears. came close the other day, but my bar ends ended up just grazing my ribs.

Sorry to read about your crash and injury man.

To all you guys learning tricks where their is risk of being impaled by you bars please consider running a pair of nylon bar ends and not pressing them in fully. I don't mean leaving them half-way but leaving at least 1mm between the end and handlebar.

Speedy recovery to you hellzcat.

ou sh*t! get well soon man!

yeah, time machines are pretty dangerous.

once I bailed from pumping a time machine and landed with my neck on the peg. it was so painful and a bit bloody and I thought I slashed my throat. it's just a scar now

slipping out of a time machine can lead to very dangerous situations. i once slipped out of one and took my handlebar in my temple.. got the worst headache of my life and pretty nasty wound on my face.

best of luck recovering, so you can back on them time machine!

They are much safer if you're on the pedal with your leg over the headtube.
