Advice for getting into dumptruck
« on: August 27, 2010, 08:29:23 PM »
I can do the actual trick by getting straight into it, but I cannot seem to ride in to it,EVER.

I've spent a year or so and would love to know the best way to balance the bike as you grap the peg and then move the bar backwards, do you have any tips?

I can sort of grab the peg, but I end up putting my foot on the ground, do you just push the frame out as you grab it?
I can't catch the wheel because it's still spinning somewhat...
Any help would be wicked cheers

Just to understand heres the video that I'm explaining about:

Try just stepping into the "hand on the peg the other hand free" position. Coast it realllly slow. I found that helped me a lot.

Take your left hand off and flip the bars.  Coast to get stable.  As soon as you reach for the peg start to reach your foot to the tire as soon as possible.  Also bend your knee a bit when stepping through.  Stay over the peg.  Hope this helps.
