of course!

Ask Gonzalo Bellanti, he made an really good video for me, wich helped me alot with the first steps..

Sytse Winkel:

Step #1:
stand still on the ground, stand in the steamroller position, squeeze you brake and do a barflip, without rolling. do this for like million times, until you have this move dialled, remember, no roling involved.

Step #2:
stand still on the ground, balance on 1 leg ( the leg which you are standing on with steamroller)
lift your bike up like 10 cm from the ground in the steamroller position.
jump, and do the barflip, and land on the same leg, without the bike touching the ground.
do this for million times too until you have it dialled, again no riding involved.

Step #3:
he let me watch dez riding, closely, what do you see he asked, just perfect wide circles i said, thats exactly what I did wrong, i did the barflip in way to tight cicrles, its possible, but not when you start learning this trick, so do the steamroller in almost straight line, with a really really bit of a carve

Step #4:
Lean muchhhhhhhhhhh over the bar, wich is really scary, and squeeze and press the bars really hard.

Step #5:
Why am I falling?
What you probably will do wrong now is that you go really slowly because you are hanging that much over the bars because its to scary to do it full speed..
when you do the barflip, when you flipped 90 degrees, the wheel can't roll anymore and blocks, thats why you will fall to the ground
So, go at a good speed, like me in the video.

Step #6
Why full speed?
Don't know how to explain this in really good english but here you go:
The speed is stronger then the block from the wheel at 90 degrees, so when you go at a good speed won't block anymore and spins 180 degrees.
only thing you have to do now is jump on the peg and roll it!

Summery: good speed, little little little carve (almost straight line), press + squeeze the bars, flip, land it, ride away and smile!

This worked for me, so hope it works for you guys too!
Oh don't forget to ask Gonzalo for the vid, maybe he is willing to give it.

Peace!

Wouter

That's awesome, Wout. I've been fooling with learning these as well. Out of about 20 tries I've only once flipped the bars and had the guts (and luck...) to land my foot on the peg. Haha.
It truly is a romance of many dimensions, isn't it?

Thats the most frustrating part, that you can do the flipping part, but can't ride further..

practice, practice, practice.
