KHE Equilibrium 2009, is this a good deal?
« on: July 27, 2010, 01:23:54 PM »
Hi all,

I'm a beginner in the flatland scene and wanted some advice
on the KHE Equilibrium 09 complete.

http://www.bikester.co.uk/bicycles/bmx/bmx-bikes-300-and-up/17434.html

It looks like a decent bmx and its only Ģ540. This would be my first bmx purely for flatland.

Should I go ahead and buy it or carry on with my current park/street bike that is 5 years old?

Site looks a bit shady to me.

It says the bike has a rear brake, when the pictures clearly doesnt show a rear brake, no mounts or any other rear brake hardware!

If you get the bike pictured, for that price its a steal.

In the UK they have to supply a brake by law, so you will more than likely receive a old style caliper brake, lever and cable in the box.

If you phone up billys.co.uk and tell them the price you can get this for they may be able to do a better price as they take in allot of KHE gear.

Hi,

I got the same frame, although it's green it is the same frame xD
It's a great bike, doesn't feel too light nor too heavy it's ideal!

Anyway you might prefer this one instead since it's a newer model from KHE and cheaper too.

Only problem is KHE mid-BB sucks balls and brakes a lot.(But since your new doubt you'll run into problems for a year or so xD )

I'd recommend billys.co.uk they are fast, I purchased standard delivery (free over Ģ25) and got it the next day....(So I don't recommend splashing out on Ģ10 next day delivery)

Concerning brakes, I had both front and back on my very first complete bike so you'll probably end up with that too.

itīs one of the biggest mailorders in Germany. Donīt think you will have any problems with them. Just drop them a line and ask if itīs still in stock.
