Profile nankai hub help
« on: May 12, 2010, 03:35:44 AM »
A while back a guy from the U.K. I believe posted a pic of his profile nankai shell that was drilled and had set screws to keep the internal race from slipping. My friend's hub is miffed and needs that done to it. Can anyone send me a link to that thread? I couldn't find it by the search feature.

You can do it by drilling the shell through to the race and probably through the race itself. If I'm thinking what I'm thinking, the press fit race the clutch engages on is toast and it's spinning inside. You can put a tiny little set-screw through there, it doesn't have to be too large. 2 would do fine but 3 or 4 would be ideal to keep it steady under force.

Drill it, tap it by hand, set screw, bob's your uncle.

I remember the pic had every other dimple on the non drive side drilled and tapped and set screwed. I just want another look at the pic if anyone finds it.
