I still have a VHS tape of the 1988 AFA Masters in Wayne, NJ.  Ruben absolutely killed it that day.  So smooth.  Killer style.  Happy Birthday!

Ruben was the first person I ever saw riding in person(not in magazines) back in 1985.  He was killin' it then, and he kills it every weekend at the OG with us still.  One of those versatile riders who killed it at AFA comps in the 80's, Meet the Street comps in the 90's blah, blah, blah.

Happy Birthday to R-Dog!

Nice Addition Tod. I just talked to Ruben, He's having a great day and he's pretty stoked on all the great comments. Keep those comments coming. Help make is day a special one.

I am putting up a You Tube version as well. The moblie link is not working for some reason. You Tube is a easy fix.

Keep on Riding!

good video thanks Rad Dad and Happy B-Day Ruben. I met Ruben back in the old AFA days and was great guy to ride with and to learn from. Ruben made in one the dorken in york videos with that Austin AFA Master contest ruin. Back in those days the riders did it all,,ramps, street, flatland.,,,,thats what we did. I even did skateboarding rideing on 10 foot halfpipes or rideing street downtown Houston.

I like how Rueben still does "FREESTYLE" which means he does it all and is good in every discipline.  Always has been.  Happy Birthday!

I remember reading Freestylin' in junior high and seeing photos of Ruben in full on Dyno gear tearing up the AFA circuit... Very inspirational seeing him progressing his riding to this day. Does his brother Robert still ride at all?
