the skills game format is a great idea, it just needs to be polished a bit. everything took really long but when the riders started riding it became really fun. the mc commented on each trick for non-savvy audience.
my friend suggested a good tip: the trick list (from which the riders were choosing in realtime) should have been published let's say 2 weeks earlier, so every rider could make up their combos beforehand (roughly at least). the decisions took most of the time, also looking up the tricks in the list. if there was someone at the computer and riders would just say what they want, it would be much much faster.
i hope michael sommer wont give up with this idea, i think it's fresh and it should work out next time when those little kinks are worked out.
also the venue was really cool.
