that's the right intersection, but the cameraman needs to do a 180 to see the parking lot where the contest is.  also, terrible spelling and lack of comma's in this thread.  and yes, i don't use caps when posting in forums.

7 years already!  The first one was in 2003?  I don't remember that one!  Anyway, should be fun as usual.  Scary think the AthFam has been doing BMX events on Twilight weekend since before I arrived in Athens in 1994.....16 years.....geez....

1995- Kent and Mark Bell doing box jump/flatland shows at the same intersection the contest is in now.

1996- Gregg O., me J.D., Kent, Mark Bell, Jody, and I do shows in the Classic Center.  This was the only year they did that there.

1997 - Not sure what we did this year?  I think Gene Dixon might've blacklisted us that year....he never did get over two 16 year olds telling figuring out they could make more money doing shows for themselves than for him......

1998 - Kent's original Twilight Flatland contest.  At the very flat and very good but no longer available to us lot across the street from the Classic Center.  First time we got to see Nathan P., Martti, Stephan Cerra, Huffman, Keith King, Leigh Ramsdell, Chad and Amy Johnston, and lots others in Athens. The Trek team was in town as well doing halfpipe shows on the current contest site.  This contest had a better turnout than a lot of national contests of it's day, and, along with the scene report in Ride the next year, pretty much put Athens on the map as the place for bike riding in the southeast.

1999 - More shows with me, Jody and Kent at the familiar intersection.  Next week we went to the X-Games qualifier in Virginia.

2000?
2001?

Not sure what happened these years, Kent or Jon or someone probably did more shows.  Was it me?  I can't remember now, this all starts to run together sometimes.....

2002 - Dowker's first comp, down at the end of the street across the Classic Center.  This historian pulled a double pegade and a spinning hiker for the first time in his contest runs.

From there on out it was the contest we all look forward to every year!

The flatland portion of this contest, what're the classes?
Take it apart, clean it, regrease it, and put it back together. If that doesn't work, nuke it! ;D
