Was DMC the first to do it? I always remember him with his g-turns

Also, did chase not just redo that trick in a video for odyssey? I am almost certain he did this to or out of a
backwards mega spin.

I believe Aaron Dull was the first to backwards decade.

It is one of those tricks that can be impressive, even if you are totally straddling the head tube...or REAL impressive fully extended, like if your feet are together over the head tube.   I'm re-learning that one ASAP!

John's started riding again recently, and is working on a very SICK decade variation.  I hope he gets it done...then he can let the cat out of the bag.

I for one think the "decade while holding a shopping bag with a cat in it" is animal cruelty.  Definitely hard though.

Danny Bernal, backwards decade (1988)

OG Marton, backwards decade (2008)
Remember, grammar is the difference between "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse", and "I helped my uncle jack off a horse".

I just started getting into flatland stuff about 3 days ago and suck so far, I blame my sh*tty bike and lack of practice.

So while rolling forward instead of jamming you're right foot on the seat post before jumping you jam your left and then make the leap landing on your right foot?

Picture rolling a wheelchair then sit the back end down and put one foot at the seattube/frame area - you are facing the seat rolling backward - hit the brakes and decade over and land back into the riding backward position. There's different ways but that should give you an idea.

Another way is doing a stickb - grab the bars/brake and jump over that way. Putting your foot on the front peg while doing this trick was/is known as a backward smith decade.
You look like Marty McFly!
