Simple Eject v4 (plastic stem)
« on: February 18, 2010, 10:30:26 PM »
Quote from: Simple
After doing massive material research we came across this High Strength Plastic, with an incredibly high molecular mass. This allows us to make a very light, yet very strong stem without compromising on the durability. We have taken this stem through a lot of testing and abuse to see how it would hold up, and so far it's proved to last very well.

If teeth weren't important to me, I'd be down for one.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but don't ALL plastics have an "incredibly high molecular mass"?

Yeah, they just put a different shader on the 3D model before it was rendered. Funny though.
It truly is a romance of many dimensions, isn't it?

Is this for real? I really hope so. Plastics have alot of future in bike technology spectrum wide.

As funny as that sounds, it will be true in 20 years or so. More and more plastics are introduced into our industry. We already have plastic pedals, pegs, peg end caps, bar ends, seatposts, seats, and we ran plastic tuff wheels back in the day. It won't stop there.
