And it should.  The personal and sexual lifestyles of individuals shouldn't be made into a huge ordeal.  Okay, so a traveling athlete cheated on his spouse.  It's not a great thing, but it happens, and by making a huge media ordeal about it - broadcast to millions who don't and shouldn't know - has really dramatic effects, as seen by many of Tiger's sponsors dropping him.

This coverage, and coverage of this type for many other activities, actually has a positive effect on not only those involved, but to the viewers who may not ever witnessed anything of the like.

Yeah he did. I've always felt that Kip did an amazing job of MCing flatland events.
