Nankai spacer idea
« on: January 21, 2010, 01:38:12 PM »
I have an original Nankai hub, and it used to have a big steel nut taking up space on the non-drive side...I tried replacing it with a big stack of washers, but was also bulky and this hub is heavy enough already!

So I used an Eastern alloy nut to replace the spacer AND the lock nut...it's the perfect length, is a little lighter and looks cool.

Sorry if this has been posted already!

Your dropout looks bent. Please replace the pic with this one.

Remember, grammar is the difference between "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse", and "I helped my uncle jack off a horse".

I just started getting into flatland stuff about 3 days ago and suck so far, I blame my sh*tty bike and lack of practice.

Sorry, I should have checked that file size!

The dropout is straight as an arrow! It's just the weird angle I had to hold the Barbie camera.

Thanks though, I cannot stand tweaked dropouts...

Anytime. -_-

Nankai makes an aluminum spacer that comes stock on the aluminum-shelled Nankais.
You can get any Nankai part from Pat (Flatlandfuel). Either call him or send an email if you can't find what you're looking for. ;)

That would be too easy!

note to self: Ask Pat!

I do need those bigger locknuts, though. Anyone remember Kink's "Fat Nuts"?

I still have 2 of those gorillas in my toolbox.

Using Kink Fat nuts would add more weight than you removed by using the aluminum spacer...

If you are for real, you probably spend enough time on your bike that there's no time left for talking sh*t on message boards.

Of course, if all you do is talk sh*t on message boards, you're probably not as good or as cool as you think you are.
