SEE HERE // A BAD THING // NEW WARRANTY INFO
« on: January 11, 2010, 05:37:42 PM »
I am a member on facebook and saw that he brand that owns ABT (K124) is online and often advertises on facebook. I also saw that they respond to questions on there.

So today they made a post, advertising a new product that was now in stock. So I made a comment to ask if they had any ABT forks in stock, and was immediately told they do. This means they do reply to questions through facebook. But more importantly it means that they see that facebook is a good tool for them to reach large audiences.

If you have had a warranty problem with ABT and haven't had any luck getting an answer try asking K124 through facebook. As I am sure that if the problems ABT products face are as widespread as many on here have claimed, then K124 (the owners) will not want the negative publicity on FB and will hopefully try to address the situation.

The good thing about this is that under French and EU law, ABT has to abide by strict consumer protection laws and if these are broken could cause the owners very strong legal penalties if found to be at fault. So again, if you have a problem with a ABT product and believe its related to poor workmanship or a structural design error then speak up and complain.

Good thread. Often consumers are taken advantage of and really feel like they have no rights.

It would never ever ever ever hold up in court.

In Europe it would.
Consumer rights take precedence, so ABT would need to prove the customer is at fault rather than the other way around.

What wouldn't be held up in court? The law?
