Do you know any particular example of a BMX part made here and in any other country where the BMX parts are produced? Let me know, I'd like to know how much less I could have paid for my custom parts.

PiR products from France wrote that it costs between 300 and 450 euros for a custom frame :

It's around 300 euros for a Chimera custom frame (from Polland) :

Phoenix bike from France produces a sprocket for 49,90 euros

Is it less expensive on your side ?

A few weeks ago my friend here made me 3 pairs of custom pegs.( Even though it only cost me a case of beer-lol- witch I helped drink-lol) I couldn't see him putting a price of $100 pr/pair on them with material, and labor included.

Maybe after all Mutt, this may be a case of being exported here(? I don't truly know?-just my thoughts)

Part of it is that I don't think Dom is sending the pegs in mass quantities to a distributor which Pat then buys from. If he's getting them directly from Dom himself and Dom is just having some guy fabricate them, then I can understand why they're so expensive. If you're doing one off custom pegs, which it seems like that's what these are on the level as, then they're going to be expensive and that doesn't include shipping costs.

Thanks TJ

If this is the case, the retail price would (and should)have a "mark up" in price compared to the item(s) next to it.

I really like my Tree Balsa pegs.  Definitely worth the money.  You can get two pairs for around $100 and they are light as f*ck.

How are small companies supposed to make money? if your going to make something that should last a bit longer than the other stuff on the market (people buying less of them) shouldnt they cost more money?
So we complain when people make things that break all the time, then complain when someone makes something durable?
Stainless steel is some tough $hit.  ive seen someone who had stainless steel lips on the wheels of his car, curb the hell out of em and they came away unscathed.

Out of all of this, not one person made mention of the diameter.  Wonder if it makes a big diffrence? (I went from 1.75- to- 1.65 and could tell )

Hmmm

I bought an original set of Sequence pegs when they came out. They are still on my bike and still in great shape after a few years of service. The stainless insert REALLY holds up.
