Ares - Garuda 2010
« on: November 09, 2009, 11:02:50 PM »
Finally the 2010 Garuda is coming after a long wait. Hiro Morisaki has made his adjustments to the frame after riding prototype for the entire year of 2009. He has been riding a few versions of the frame because he wanted to get it just right to his specification. Ares hasnīt published the exact weight yet but they say itīs very light weight.

According to Scott this frame is sold out every year: "I urge any of you interested to order it while you can because the stock will be sold out first day they are available. Pre ordering is the way to go so you can secure your Ares Garuda."

If anyone would like to pre order this frame and get pricing information please contact Scott at info@aresbykesamerica.com

why change something that was superb!!

the new design is missing something, it is like the new ares version of a psychonecta. I only hope that as a result of the new design they don't give you the same crap about how it is impossible to make a longer TT version for regular sized guys.

what you guys think ??             i think the older models of this frame was much better looking  i think i rather the look of the older garuda  as a matter ah fact i would buy the older 1 instead of this   the old 1 was light enough  !!!

According to my buddy who rides one (as well as other comments I've heard about it), the frame's length "feels" more normal then it should; somehow, it's not as cramped as one would think. I'd love to try one some time, but it's not a frame you see around very often (or at all) due to it's price/rarity. Too bad I don't ride enough (i.e. 8 hours a day everyday =) to justify buying myself a $600 frame... I don't deserve it. lol  Props to Scott for making Ares stuff accessible to us all though. $600 isn't so bad considering the alternative of flying to Japan for $500 to $1000 and buying it at a shop there. Prices are STEEP in Tokyo for this stuff.

If you have to ride without laces in your shoes (to stop them from snagging) ... then you know its gonna be short.

With all the nice priced frames that one can find in the stores till the end of the year I don't see why anyone would drop $550 on a frame made for midgets.

No offense, I live oriental style riding, culture and way of life but 17,9" ?!
