BMX Flatland World Circuit
« on: March 26, 2007, 09:44:09 PM »
We are very pleased to announce to you the birth of the BMX Flatland World Circuit. The Circuit will cover three of the best flatland contests in the 07 season: KOG Round 1, Voodoo Jam and Flatground. At each event riders in the pro class can earn points  and this will eventually result in a year-end winner. Goal of this circuit is to promote flatland in general so hopefully many flatlanders will gain from this incentive. Freecaster , Global-Flat & Youth In Control  have already committed supporting the circuit in year 1, which means you'll get good and fast coverage of all three events. Please contact us  if you want to sponsor the circuit and thus support flatland and his riders.

Round 1: April 22nd - KOG in Tokyo
Round 2: June 30th - Voodoo Jam in New Orleans
Round 3: August 3rd-5th - Flatground in Amsterdam  - The Final

The website of the Circuit will be online soon: www.bmxflatlandworldcircuit.com

-HOW ABOUT ADDING MORE EVENTS IN 2008..UP TO 6 EVENTS
INCLUDING CIRCLE OF BALANCE AND ONE NINJA SPIN.

-AN OFFICIAL FLATLAND CIRCUIT MAGAZINE..THAT WOULD
REALLY SPREAD THE WORD OF FLATLAND AND GET IT OUT
THERE.I WOULD SUBSCRIBE!!

-AN AMATEUR CLASS FOR THE UPCOMING RIDERS AND HAVE THE
EVENTS TWO DAYS INSTEAD OF ONE USUALLY WITH AMATUERS
ON THE IST AND PROS ON SECOND AND OR JUST HAVE AMATEURS
ON LIKE 4 OUT OF 6 OF THE COMPS AS THAT WOULD WORK OUT
EVEN BETTER.

THEY COULD REALLY DO SOMETHING WITH THIS IF THEY WANTED
TO.

Mutt,
We need to take small steps first.

We are heading in a positive direction. We want to start small and grow as we go. I think this will be a great Organization for Flatlanders and we will put everything we have into makng it a quality organization.

I am looking foward to moving in this direction with Flatland and I know positive things will come out of it.

Stay tuned for mre information.

Thanks

That's a very good idea!

Though how many people (even pros) can travel to Japan, then to USA and finally to Amsterdam? If you miss one of the comps, then you have no way to earn a lot of points. If this idea one day makes it's way into expert (or even amateur) class, then it'll be even more of a issue.

Well let's see how this works out!

This a great ideia.
Props to who ever is doing it.
I agree with mutt, more events could be included. I would go with at least 6 events.

Personally, I would choose 1 event every month in a different country.
From Canada to Brazil, Europe, Japan, Asia.
That would be a true world circuit that would give pros all over the world a chance to compete.

I think that if your going to do it you might as well do it big.

:insert cynical comment about the fleeting idea of flatland world unity here:

Just kidding. Actually I hope this all works out well and those involved and I'll be really.. REALLY psyched if all of this comes together.

scotty
you know me
ill say whats on my mind and thats it
look im saying 6 events for 2008 is a good
possibility if 2007 goes well and adding the
CIRCLE OF BALANCE AND NINJA JAM  you
must admit is possible and a good idea and
then a third added event for 2008...MAKING 6
EVENTS FOR 2008.

POINT ONE..THE NINJA JAM AND CIRCLE OF BALANCE
ALREADY ESTABLISHED AND BIG...SO THERE
IS NO PROBLEM WITH ATTENDANCE ETC.....
TOO BAD THE ROOT JAM NOT AROUND ANYMORE
OR SOME BIG LATIN AMERICA COMP.

POINT TWO...THE FLATLAND WORLD CIRCUIT MAGAZINE IS GOING
TO HAVE TO HAPPEN IN THE IST TWO YEARS FOR THIS TO
WORK AND YOU AND I KNOW THIS SCOTTY BEAM ME UP.
I MEAN FOR THE ADVERTISING AND SPONSORS THAT THIS
FLATLAND CIRCUIT WILL NEED TO SURVIVE PLUS JUST LIKE
YOU WANT AND VERYONE ELSE WANTS FLATLAND TO GROW
AND GET WHAT THE FLATLAND WORLD CIRCUIT IS OUT THERE
FOR.

POINT THREE....FOR FLATLAND TO GROW AND FOR IT TO GET
BIGGER WE WILL NEED A AMATEUR CLASS FOR 4 OUT OF THE
6 WORLD FLATLAND CIRCUIT COMPS AND WE KNOW THAT KOG
AND NINJA SPIN COULD BE TWO OF THOSE 4 AND I THINK
ADDING THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP THO THEY BEEN REALLY
SHIOOTY UP TO A POINT COULD BRING THE THIRD AMATEUR
COMP. I THINK HAVING AN AMATEUR YEAR END TITLE AND
PRO YEAR END TITLE IS IMPORTANT AS IT WILL BRING
AMATUERS AND FUTURE PROS INTO THE MIX AND CREATE
A NEW PROS AND FUTURE IN FLATLAND IN THE AMATEUR
SENSE AND ALSO ABLE TO SHOWCASE THE PROS NOW.

I AM THINKING OF THE OLD B.S. COMPS WHEN THEY HAD AMATEUR
FLATLAND YEAR END TITLES AND PRO YEAR END TITLES AND HOW
THAT REALLY DID WHAT I SAID IT WOULD DO IF THE WORLD
FLATLAND CIRCUIT WOULD DO IT THAT WAY...PROMOTE AMATUERS
AND MAYBE FUTURE PROS AND THE PROS BEING SHOWCASED NOW.

BABY STEPS I KNOW..YEAH AND IM JUST LOOKING AT IF THIS ALL GOES
WELL THIS YEAR AND WE WILL NEED TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP UP.
